On the auspicious occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, the “Searsole Babu Para Fire Dekha Pratiti Welfare Society” organized a meaningful and impactful event at the Raniganj Institute of Information, Raniganj. This celebration, held on August 15, 2024, featured a dual initiative aimed at promoting both health and environmental sustainability.
Thyroid Screening Camp
The centerpiece of the event was a Thyroid Screening Camp. Thyroid disorders can often go unnoticed, leading to a range of health issues if left untreated. The camp provided free thyroid screening for residents, offering a valuable opportunity for early diagnosis and management. Medical professionals conducted thorough examinations and offered guidance on maintaining thyroid health, emphasizing the importance of timely medical intervention.
Tree Plantation Program
In addition to the medical camp, the event also included a Tree Plantation Program. Recognizing the critical role of trees in combating climate change and improving air quality, participants engaged in planting various saplings around the Institute. This initiative aimed to enhance green cover and foster environmental responsibility within the community.
A Celebration of Independence
The day was not only about medical and environmental initiatives but also about celebrating the spirit of independence and community service. The activities reflected the essence of self-reliance and collective progress that India has championed over the past 78 years.
The “Searsole Babu Para Fire Dekha Pratiti Welfare Society” continues to inspire with its commitment to health and environment, making the 78th Independence Day a memorable occasion for all involved.
